Wide receiver Amari Cooper's 2021 campaign didn't go exactly as planned as his level of performance has regressed compared to previous seasons. Fortunately for him, he will not get the chance to have a fresh start after he was recently traded by the Dallas Cowboys to the Cleveland Browns for the 2022 season.

With Kevin Stefanski needing more depth at the receivers unit, Cooper is expected to have an instant impact and potentially emerge as their new top weapon on offense. Certainly enough, his performance in the upcoming season would be greatly determined by the quarterback that they will have under center, be it Baker Mayfield or not.

Still, a bounce-back campaign is on the horizon for Cooper who is trying to get back on track and aiming to prove that he remains to be one of the most potent receivers in the league today.

Let's take a look at three bold predictions for the 27-year-old pass-catcher in the upcoming NFL season.

Amari Cooper 2022 bold predictions

3. Amari Cooper will lead the team in receptions.

The Browns' receiving core was previously led by Jarvis Landry who topped the team in receptions for each of the past four seasons. His highest tally was 83 catches for 1,174 receiving yards back in the 2019 season where he earned his fifth Pro Bowl nod.

In a surprise move, Cleveland opted to release Landry before landing Cooper shortly after. Without the presence of the veteran receiver, the newcomer in Cooper will surely find himself on the receiving end of many passes throughout the season.

Given the shallow depth of talent in the position, Cooper is poised to lead the team in receptions, assuming that he can stay healthy on the field in 2022. As the new WR1, he even has a chance to vie for a new career-best in receptions for a season with 92 catches being his highest tally dating back to his 2020 campaign.

2. He will notch at least 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 2022.

Cooper has always been a major threat on offense during his days with the then-Oakland Raiders and the Cowboys in previous years. He has exceeded the 1,000 receiving yard mark five times in his career, with the latest being in 2020.

Unfortunately, Cooper fell short in reaching it in 2021 due to a crowded receiving unit in Dallas as he shared touches with Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb. Despite getting limited yardage, the wideout still managed to match his career-high with eight total touchdowns scored last season.

In Cleveland, the wideout doesn't have significant competition as of the moment unless the Browns opt to take a young receiver with the 13th overall pick in the upcoming draft. With that, Cooper will have a strong chance of reaching the 1,000-yard mark again and may potentially set a new career-high of 10 TDs as the No. 1 option on offense in 2022.

1. Amari Cooper will snag his fifth Pro Bowl honor.

Having said all that, it seems like Amari Cooper is in an ideal spot to bounce back and play a pivotal role for a Browns group that is looking to return to the playoffs as soon as possible. All he has to do is try to stay healthy and deliver the goods for his team whenever he's on the field.

If Cooper manages to do all that, then it wouldn't be hard for him to earn his fifth Pro Bowl nod, given the level of talent that he possesses. More importantly, he will be giving a much-needed boost for the Browns that have yet to find any luck in the receivers unit after releasing both Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.

Hopefully, Amari Cooper will be able to fit with his new team and prove that he is still the same talented player on the field moving forward.
