The Denver Broncos entered the 2020 NFL Draft with the intention of surrounding Drew Lock with more weapons in the offense. It didn't take long for the Broncos to achieve that goal, selecting Jerry Jeudy with the No. 15 pick in the first round of the NFL Draft.

The Broncos believe that Lock can be their long-term answer at quarterback. Given that, it was vital for them to get someone that could give him the best chance to succeed moving forward. While Courtland Sutton has proven to be capable of being a No. 1 receiver, Denver adds a gifted receiver in Jeudy to join the receiving corps.

Seeing that he was Denver's first-round selection, Jeudy is going to have towering expectations in his first season with the team. With that in mind, here are three bold predictions for Jeudy in his rookie season with the Broncos.

1,200 Receiving Yards

Coming into the NFL, Jeudy is undoubtedly a polished route-runner, giving him an edge over some of the other rookie pass-catchers. His pristine route running should be able to make it easier for him to make an impact in Denver's aerial attack next season.

During his final two seasons at Alabama, Jerry Jeudy was able to combine for 2,478 yards for the Crimson Tide. While he isn't considered much of a vertical threat, Jeudy is more than capable of making plays down the field.

Even though Lock has some areas to improve as a quarterback, he isn't afraid to throw the ball deep. Taking that into account, Jeudy should see quite a few opportunities to rack up yardage through the air. In his first season with the Broncos, Jeudy is going to garner over 1,200 receiving yards.

10 Receiving Touchdowns

Besides gaining tons of yards at Alabama, Jeudy was apt at finding the end zone in college. Altogether, in his three collegiate seasons, Jeudy was able to score 26 receiving touchdowns.

Provided that, Jeudy has never struggled to put up six points for his team. But everyone knows that it can be tough on rookie wide receivers to be an immediate difference-maker for their respective offense.

Nevertheless, barring an injury, it's tough to envision Jeudy having any struggles in his rookie campaign. Even with other mouths to feed in the passing attack, Jeudy is going to haul in 10 touchdowns in 2020.

Jerry Jeudy Will Lead Team In Receptions

Again, Sutton has done nothing but impress since he was Denver's second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. After notching 72 receptions, 1,112 yards, and six touchdowns in 2019, it's evident that Sutton is the Broncos' No. 1 wide receiver heading into next season.

At the same time, with Jeudy being a first-round pick, the Broncos are eager for him to produce immediately. Regardless of who is on the field, Denver is going to configure ways for Jeudy to get the ball often.

In addition, with Sutton drawing the attention of defenses, that should allow Jeudy to have more chances to make plays. As a result, Jerry Jeudy will lead the Broncos in receptions in his first year in the NFL.
