The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were favored to win this game against the Chicago Bears, but they absolutely obliterated them. With the final score being 38-3 in the Bucs favor, it's safe to say they're one of the best teams in the league. We'll take a look at this Buccaneers-Bears game with our Buccaneers Week 7 takeaways in mind.

Chicago had no answers throughout the entire contest. The offense looked confused as the Bucs' defense dominated throughout. Typically opposing teams succeed at throwing the ball against Tampa Bay, but Justin Fields was all over the place in this matchup.

As for the Buccaneers' offense, they looked as good as ever. Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones had their way in the run game. Meanwhile, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin torched Chicago's secondary. Additionally, Tom Brady might never retire from the NFL. With that said, here are three Buccaneers Week 7 takeaways from their game against the Bears.

Buccaneers Week 7 Takeaways

3. Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones form a dangerous duo

It's not like the Buccaneers have a stellar run game, but these two have been phenomenal against the Bears. They each averaged over five yards per rush attempt and combined for 144 rushing yards. A rather solid day for Tampa Bay's running back core. It allowed for the Bucs to control the clock and it relieved pressure off of Brady to air it out.

The Buccaneers would love for this to become the new norm. Fournette has been playing well and it seems Jones is getting better acclimated with the coaching staff. They don't have to be elite, but if they can play as they did in Week 7, the Buccaneers suddenly have a dependent rushing attack.

2. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin dominate Chicago

Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown were both ruled out for this matchup. For that reason, it allowed Chris Godwin and Mike Evans to completely dominate the Bears' secondary. The duo ended the day with a combined 14 receptions, for 187 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

It was just a non-stop spectacular performance from both Evans and Godwin. Chicago couldn't do anything to slow them down. They don't need anyone else in the receiving core to be dangerous, which makes the Bucs one of the best teams in the NFL. Look for Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to continue this streak throughout the rest of the season.

1. Tom Brady will never regress

He's in his mid-40s and is playing like he always has. Tom Brady might just be a vampire and we don't know it yet. He threw for just 211 passing yards but also had four touchdown passes on the day, one of which broke the 600 career touchdown mark. Brady is a living, walking legend in the NFL and there's no reason to believe he'll slow down anytime soon.

It's getting to the point where it's like watching one of the wonders of the world perform every week in the NFL. It's insane, nobody can stop him, and the Buccaneers are in the heat of the playoff race largely due to Tom Brady's success. We'll see how he does in Week 8 as he takes on a stingy New Orleans Saints defense.
