The Green Bay Packers are preparing for life without Davante Adams, meaning the offense may have a very different feel to it in 2022. With training camp around the corner, it's time for players to step up, lest they will be shown the exit door before the 53-man roster gets finalized.

There will be various position battles taking place, as well as a multitude of eager athletes looking to squeeze their way past roster cuts and land on the team. Just having a good training camp isn't a guarantee for these players, as there are various aspects that weigh into whether or not they make the cut. Sometimes it can be as simple as whether they have the intangibles or the talent to produce at the level, or it can be a matter of how they'd fit onto the team.

Just because a player gets cut during training camp doesn't mean they don't have a chance to bounce back, but still, it's never a good feeling to be informed that you've missed the cut. Many of the guys who get cut will have been roster-bubble players, just barely missing out on the chance to continue on in Green Bay. There will be some tight-knit battles in Green Bay this year during training camp, which gets underway next week.

With all that in mind, here are three Packers players who may be cut candidates at 2022 NFL training camp.

Packers cut candidates at 2022 Training Camp

3. Ty Summers, LB

Ty Summers could still have a role for the Packers on special teams, but he's clearly out of favor in the linebacker department following the Packers' decision to draft Quay Walker in the first round. The Georgia product figures to be a Day 1 starter, which will make Summers' role with on the defense even more obsolete.

Considering Green Bay's special teams disasters last year, they may not have as much faith in Summers as they did previously. Financially speaking, parting ways with their former seventh-round pick wouldn't hurt much at all. He's due to collect just $965,000 in the final year of his contract, and with the Packers not lacking depth at linebacker, he may be shown the exit door during training camp, unless he can make a big impact.

2. Amari Rodgers, WR

Despite offloading Davante Adams this season, the Packers still have a slew of wide receivers on the roster. They drafted Christian Watson and acquired Sammy Watkins in the offseason, while maintaining the likes of Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb. The PAckers also drafted multiple receivers in addition to Watson, who was their second-round selection. Green Bay buffed the wide receivers room up with the likes of fourth-round pick Romeo Doubs and a pair of seventh-rounders in Samori Toure, and Rasheed Walker.

That could leave Amari Rodgers as the odd man out. The 2021 third-round pick didn't make much of an impact offensively last year, serving most of his snaps with the special teams unit. In all he saw just eight targets from Rodgers in 2022, catching four passes for 45 yards. That type of production, while also being a rather unspectatular returner, may lead the Packers to move on after a short stint with Rodgers. He'll need to be ready to make a big impact if he wants to fight for his spot at training camp.

1. Dean Lowry, DL

The Packers picked up two defenders with their pair of first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. After landing Quay Walker, the Packers turned and picked Devonte Wyatt, further bolstering their defensive line. With Wyatt in town, the Packers will likely shuffle up the D-line in order to get him into his preferred position at defensive tackle.

Lowry hasn't been a bad piece for the Packers since he was drafted in 2016, but it's difficult to describe him as being anywhere above replacement level. If the Packers do opt to shift up the defense, Lowry end up fighting for a spot on the roster during training camp.
