The Chicago Bears own the best defense in the NFL and are loaded with talent. One of the key members of their defense is Kyle Fuller at the cornerback spot.

The Bears selected Kyle Fuller with the 14th pick in the 2o14 NFL Draft. Since then, he's been one of the most talented cornerbacks in the NFL.

Fuller has started 62 games out of a possible 64 with the Bears since 2014. In that same time span, he totaled 15 interceptions, 62 pass deflections, and 241 tackles.

Last season, the Bears ranked third in total defense—seventh against the pass and first against the run. Fuller is important to Chicago's pass defense. He led the team with seven interceptions in 2018.

Heading into 2019, Fuller and the Bears are poised to create one of the best defenses in the NFL again. Here are three early goals for Kyle Fuller with the Bears for the 2019 season.

3. Staying Healthy

One of the best aspects of Fuller's career with the Bears has been his ability to stay on the field. The Bears cornerback has now started in 48 straight games.

He's been able to avoid the injury bug that has plagued other players in their careers, apart from the 2016 season when he missed all 16 games with a knee scope.

It's rare to see someone who plays defense avoid injury, but Fuller has found a way to evade it the way Michael Vick evaded defenders in his career.

The Bears' top cornerback is hoping to continue his streak of games started.

2. Keep the Turnovers Coming

Since coming into the NFL in 2014, Fuller has been a turnover machine with the Bears. He has 15 interceptions in his career, with seven of them coming in the 2018 season.

Chicago led the NFL with 36 takeaways in 2018. In addition, 27 of the 36 takeaways came in the form of an interception.

The addition of Khalil Mack helped improve the takeaway count, but the Bears are loaded on defense. They have Prince Amukamara, Eddie Jackson, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, and Buster Skrine in their secondary, in addition to Fuller.

The Bears want to continue finding ways to force turnovers on defense to give their offense more possessions each and every week. Fuller and Company are hoping for a repeat of 2018 by causing a ton of takeaways.

1. Help the Bears Bounce Back From Devastating Loss in 2018

As all Bears fans know, Chicago's 2018 season was cut short in the NFC wild card round against the Philadelphia Eagles. The offense put up only 15 points in the game.

The Bears were able to drive downfield to give Cody Parkey a chance to send Chicago to the NFC divisional round. Parkey missed a 43-yard field goal that was tipped by Treyvon Hester of the Eagles, and then double-doinked off the upright.

It was a tough loss to witness for Bears fans, and even harder to go through as a player on the team. Not many teams come back from such a devastating loss, but the Bears are hoping to bounce back in a huge way this time.

Fuller will keep showing the NFL that Chicago is a defensive juggernaut. The Bears also want to show that they can overcome a crushing loss by performing at a high level once again in 2019.
