The Duke Blue Devils remain primed to be very well represented at the 2019 NBA Draft. Not only that, but the ACC powerhouse could see three of its former players come off the board inside the top four picks of the first round with big man Zion Williamson, swingman R.J. Barrett and forward Cam Reddish all gearing up to become NBA players this summer.

With the Williamson, former Murray State Racers point guard Ja Morant and Barrett all pretty much guaranteed to come off the board as a result of the first three picks of this year's NBA Draft, Reddish could very well be the next player selected. With the New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks currently slated to make those first three selections, the Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks (from the Dallas Mavericks) rounding out the top 10.

While it remains to be seen as to where exactly Reddish ultimately lands, the up-and-coming forward will definitely have some favorable options come the 2019 NBA Draft.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers got very lucky upon encountering the No. 4 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft while the new NBA Lottery system definitely helped out LeBron James and company in a major way. As a result, the Lakers will be able add yet another young player to the mix in Los Angeles while the once heralded Western Conference franchise only found its way into the NBA Lottery due to the extended absence of the aforementioned James — one would think, anyway.

With James and the Lakers already eyeing some serious help by way of free agency, adding a rookie like Cam Reddish wouldn't hurt either. While this would surely benefit the Lakers due to Reddish's size and unique ability as a well-rounded player, it would also allow the former Duke standout to ease into life as a NBA player rather than just simply being thrown into the fire from day one.

Because the Lakers currently house a slew of talented passers, Reddish wouldn't have to control the offense while instead being able to be on the receiving end of some timely passes en route to securing some incredibly easy buckets. Such a notion would certainly help his confidence as a rookie as well.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Although Cam Reddish could help the Los Angeles Lakers right off the bat, the Western Conference franchise will have other options and could ultimately pass on the former Duke forward. As a result, Reddish could fall to the Cleveland Cavaliers at No. 5 overall in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft.

With LeBron James now in Los Angeles and Kyrie Irving in Boston — or perhaps elsewhere — the Cavaliers were forced into an abrupt rebuild starting with the 2018-19 campaign. Last year, the Cavaliers were lucky enough to select former Alabama Crimson Tide point guard Collin Sexton in the first round while the soon0-to-be second-year signal caller produced a solid rookie season in 2018-19.

Now looking to add to a young nucleus centered around Sexton and veteran forward Kevin Love, among a few others, Reddish's presence would no doubt have an immediate and positive impact in Cleveland. However, this could be a match made in heaven for the exact opposite reason that it would be a good fit for the aforementioned Lakers.

If Reddish were to be selected by the Cavaliers, the eventual rookie forward would encounter a prominent role while likely being called upon as a starter from the jump. Although this could be a big ask of Reddish, who played alongside a star-studded cast at Duke, the former collegiate standout could also make a name for himself sooner rather than later as well.

Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks are still not ready to make a serious run in the Eastern Conference, though this franchise is most definitely on the upswing. With soon-to-be second-year point guard Trae Young leading the way alongside big man John Collins, the Hawks would love to be able to select a player like Cam Reddish in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft. However, it will be close as to whether or not Reddish manages to fall to No. 8 overall while there is pretty much a zero percent chance that the Hawks will be able to select him at No. 10.

Nonetheless, Atlanta remains a favorable destination for Reddish as landing with the Hawks would give the up-and-coming Eastern Conference franchise a third to form what could ultimately become a “Big Three” type of trio with Young and Collins also in the mix. Not only that, but the Hawks could provide Reddish with a situation that would fall somewhere between what would occur with the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers.

If the Hawks somehow manage to snag Reddish at No. 8 — or trade up to get him — the soon-to-be rookie forward could contribute in a big way early on while the pressure isn't really mounting just yet in Atlanta, which would allow from some ups and down for his overall development at the NBA level. Thanks to this notion, it is quite possible that Atlanta would be the most ideal situation for Reddish to encounter this summer.
