The 2021 NFL draft needs to be better in Wisconsin. For the second straight season, the Green Bay Packers fell one game shy of the Super Bowl. They have finished 13-3 in both seasons under head coach Matt LaFleur but keep falling short.

While it may have been a disappointing finish the past two seasons, they have a chance to improve the roster through the upcoming NFL draft.

Given that Aaron Rodgers' future with the team isuncertain, this may be the last chance for Green Bay to make a Super Bowl run. Last year many people seemed to be shocked by the choices the Packers made. In the first round they selected quarterback Jordan Love to eventually replace Aaron Rodgers, which looks like a mistake now. Rodgers responded by winning MVP this past season.

The pick could have been used by the Packers to add talent at another position to elevate them to the Super Bowl. Their secondary played very poorly against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game. Imagine if Green Bay had a better back line of defense in that contest.

It is a very deep draft class this year and the Packers should be able to capitalize and add talent to help them contend right away. After losing some key players in free agency the past few seasons, like lineman Bryan Bulaga and Corey Linsley they have needs in several positions. The Packers need to hit on these draft picks if they want a chance against the Buccaneers.

Green Bay needs to improve at wide receiver, cornerback, interior defensive line, and at offensive tackle. Most people also have inside linebacker as a position of need for the Packers, but the young tandem of Kyrs Barnes and Kamal Martin showed potential throughout the season.

3. Packers trade up for cornerback in round one of the draft

Brian Gutekunst has traded up in the first round in all three drafts as GM, and I predict he will do so again. With instant impact players available in the first round, I see Green Bay moving up to the mid to low 20s to select a cornerback alongside Jaire Alexander.

With talented prospects such as Greg Newsome and Caleb Farley projected to go in this range, the Packers will make a move to get one of them.

2. Packers take a safety on day two of the draft

You may be thinking: Why would Green Bay take a safety? Yes the Packers may have Darnell Savage Jr. and Adrian Amos however, new defensive coordinator Joe Barry plans to run a defense that requires hybrid safeties. With a scheme that will be similar to Vic Fangio (of the Broncos) and Brandon Staley (of the Chargers), a hybrid safety who plays in the box would fit great in Green Bay. In the third or fourth round a safety such as JaCoby Stevens from LSU would fit well in the zone heavy scheme.

1. Green Bay takes a receiver in round two

You heard that right, Aaron Rodgers will finally get another target. After years of criticism the Packers will finally take a receiver to help out their three-time MVP quarterback.

With a very talented receiver class, the Packers will have plenty of options to choose from. They would be lucky to get Rondale Moore or Kadarius Toney if they fell down the board, but more realistic options include Dyami Brown and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

St. Brown would be a familiar name for Packers fans as Amon-Ra's brother Equanimeous is on the team. The story line of having brothers at receiver would be a fun one but regardless, Rodgers will get another weapon.
