After an incredibly disappointing loss against the Cincinnati Bengals, the Tennessee Titans officially enter the 2022 NFL offseason. The roster is already top-notch, so luckily this franchise doesn't have to make too many big moves. We go over some of the Titans' major fixes they must address if they hope to win Super Bowl 57 in 2023.

We likely see the front office maintain the core of the roster for the most part. The defensive unit is bound to remain intact, as most of the problems lie on the offensive side of the ball. It'll be interesting to see how the Titans approach the 2022 NFL offseason, as this roster has all of the pieces needed to compete for a title. Even so, look for the front office to make some changes in the coaching staff and the offense.

One of the key issues has been the offensive play calling. It's been questionable all year and it finally bit them in the end. Todd Downing hasn't met expectations and the Titans should highly consider moving on and finding a more competent offensive coordinator. Furthermore, the offensive line wasn't the best this year, but they have to add some youth to that position group while adding talented pass catchers as well. Lastly, it's time for Tennessee to face the facts and prepare to make a change at quarterback.

With that said, here are three Titans major fixes the front office must make for the team to make a run at Super Bowl 57 next year.

Titans Major Fixes ahead of Super Bowl 57

3. Fire Todd Downing and find a new offensive coordinator

This is Todd Downing's second stint as an offensive coordinator in his career and it didn't go great. He had Julio Jones, AJ Brown, and Derrick Henry at his disposal and couldn't find a way to get the offense going against a rather mediocre Bengals defense. Most of the problems the Titans face are from the offensive play-calling, so it's time for this franchise to move on from Downing altogether.

It's tough to say who should be the next offensive coordinator for this team. However, if the Titans choose to fire Todd Downing, they'll likely find his replacement within the organization. Tennessee has been promoting from within the last few years now and should continue that trend this offseason. Whoever they hire, hopefully, he can generate a game plan that actually gets the ball moving down the field.

2. Add youth to the offensive line and acquire exciting pass-catchers in the NFL Draft

The offensive line was decent this year, but they could have been much more efficient. They were one of the worst groups in pass protection, but are elite in run blocking. It's not like the Titans need to restructure the entire offensive line. Instead, the front office should aim to add youth to this group and develop those young players as quickly as possible. This gives the franchise longevity, making them a competitor for years to come.

As for the passing game, the Titans could use some help. AJ Brown is a superstar and Julio Jones is a Hall of Fame player. However, Tennessee has an opportunity to create an insanely stacked offense through the NFL Draft. Look for the front office to potentially select a top tight end prospect and a versatile wide receiver this offseason. That will give this offense numerous weapons while adding longevity for future success.

1. Address the quarterback position

It's been a fun ride, but it's officially time for the Titans to move on from Ryan Tannehill. It'll be hard to do, as his contract makes it where he's likely the quarterback next year. It's hard to imagine the front office makes a trade for an upgrade, as Tennessee needs the draft picks to address the rest of the offense.

For that reason, look for the Titans to either draft a rookie quarterback or sign a free agent to compete for the starting job. This is the most realistic approach for Tennessee and acquiring the right quarterback will be the difference-maker for this franchise. Great quarterbacks are hard to come by, but if Tennessee makes the right decisions, this team will make the necessary improvements to have a chance to win Super Bowl 57 next year.
