The Phoenix Suns are coming off a fairly improbable run that resulted in them reaching the NBA Finals a year ago.

This season, the Suns will bring back most of their core from last year with dreams of getting all the way to the mountain top. Based off what they accomplished last year, the schedule for this upcoming season is full of nationally televised games for Phoenix.

Here are three must watch games for the Suns following the NBA schedule release.

3.) vs. Los Angeles Lakers / April 5th

Last season, it was the Suns who took out the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs. Many have pondered what would've happened in the series had Anthony Davis not gotten hurt but the truth of the matter is, Phoenix was far from healthy themselves.

The Suns controlled the tail-end of the series against LA and LeBron James and Co. will be targeting their dates with Phoenix this season.

This matchup in Phoenix should have plenty of hype around it as both teams jockey for playoff positioning in the Western Conference near the end of the regular season.

2.) vs. Golden State Warriors / December 25th (Christmas Day)

The Golden State Warriors are set to be a problem again in the Western Conference. Stephen Curry got a massive contract extenison, Draymond Green is back and the biggest “addition,” is Klay Thompson returning from injury. Add in the young guys like James Wiseman, Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga and Golden State is going to be real fun to watch.

Enter the matchup on Christmas Day against the Suns. Phoenix and Golden State both project to contend in a big way in the Western Conference this year and a matchup on Christmas is a perfect present for NBA fans.

Chris Paul against Steph Curry. Devin Booker against Klay Thompson. Draymond Green against Deandre Ayton. There isn't a soul in the world that isn't signing up for that matchup between the Suns and the Warriors.

1.) @ Milwaukee Bucks / March 6th

This is where it all ended for the Suns last season as the confetti rained down on the Milwaukee Bucks. This will be the only trip back to Milwaukee on the year for Phoenix with the teams obviously being in separate conferences.

The matchup in Phoenix will be great too, but going back to where it all ended for the Suns will have them chomping at the bit to get a little bite back at the Bucks after Milwaukee won four straight games in the NBA Finals after trailing 2-0.

Could this be a preview of an NBA Finals rematch between the two? It's certainly possible as both the Suns and Bucks should be near the top of their conferences from start to finish. The Lakers remain the favorite in the West while the Nets are the favorite to win the East but both Milwaukee and Phoenix will have something to say about that.

There are plenty of games to choose from on the Suns schedule. What do you think of our list of these three must watch games for the 2021-22 season?
