Davante Adams has quickly become one of the most feared wide receivers in the NFL over the last couple of seasons. After starting his career with the Green Bay Packers slowly, Adams has been coming on strong and is now viewed by many as a top-five wide receiver.

Looking ahead to the 2019 NFL season, the Packers are looking to get back into playoff contention. They have missed in each of the last two seasons and major changes happened because of it. First and foremost, the Packers decided to fire head coach Mike McCarthy in the middle of the season last year.

Last season with the Packers, Adams had a massive year. He ended up catching 111 passes for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns. He has great chemistry with Aaron Rodgers and will be entering the 2019 season with an even more dynamic offensive system around him.

Green Bay made the decision to hire Matt LaFleur to be their new head coach. He comes from the Sean McVay coaching tree and has a very bright offensive mind. Adams has been very vocal about his excitement to play in the new offense.

The 2019 season is shaping up to be a year that Adams breaks out and shows the remaining critics that he belongs in the same sentence as guys like Julio Jones, Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr., and more.

All of that being said, which three numbers should Adams be targeting in particular this coming season?

Davante Adams, Packers

3. 120 Receptions

Why not? He had 111 last season and there have already been reports this offseason that the Packers would like to get the football into his hands more. Catching 120 passes would be insane, but Adams is capable of doing it.

Randall Cobb left town this offseason, leaving Adams as the clear-cut number one target along with young receivers. Rodgers is going to be looking for his top target at a high clip. Very few defensive backs can stick with Adams and with another offseason of hard work under his belt, he's ready for an even bigger year.

2. Time to Hit the 15 Touchdown Mark

Adams came through with a career-high 13 touchdown receptions last season, but there is still room left to improve. Green Bay has to get better at putting the football in the end zone. That will come through the air with Rodgers to Adams at a very similar clip to last year.

Davante Adams, Packers

Racking up 15 touchdown receptions in 2019 would be a huge step for Adams. He has already become one of the best wide receivers in the game, but that could take him to even bigger heights.

1. At Least 15 Yards Per Reception

While the Packers were a much different offense last year, Adams racked up a 12.5 yards per reception average. That number is solid and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but he can do even better.

Adams has talked about expecting “splash” plays within LaFleur's new offense and that will improve the number in and of itself. Getting up to around 15 yards per reception would be ideal. Green Bay needs to make big plays and Adams is going to be a huge part of them reaching that goal.
