The Hawks had a 10.5% chance to land the top pick in the upcoming draft. This sparked thoughts of a Trae Young-Zion Williamson combination off the pick-and-roll.

Unfortunately for Atlanta, they landed in the eighth spot for their first selection.

The good thing for the Hawks is that they also hold the 10th pick. They have a chance to add two top-10 picks this summer. The 10th overall pick was acquired from the Mavericks in the Luka Doncic trade last year on draft night.

Atlanta will be a busy team in the lottery come the draft. This is a great chance for them to add more young talent to a roster that already includes Young and John Collins.

While they were hoping for Williamson, there will still be some talented players ready to contribute in the eighth spot.

3. Nassir Little, North Carolina

Nassir Little

Little was the MVP of the 2018 McDonald's All-American Game and the 2018 Jordan Brand Classic Game.

He went to North Carolina and did not light up the nation like expected.

The Tar Heel roster did not have room for Little with Luke Maye and Cameron Johnson. Little averaged just 9.2 points per game while playing 18.2 minutes per game.

All season long, he was projected as a lottery pick and that will come to fruition on draft night. Little's freshman season will not shy teams away.

He will be available at eight and this is certainly one direction that the Hawks could go.

2. Jarrett Culver, Texas Tech

Jarrett Culver, NBA Draft

Culver would have been a lottery pick after his freshman season. He opted to return to Lubbock for one more season and it ended as National runners-up.

He returned to school to improve his game and it showed in his stat line. The 6'5 guard averaged 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and shot 46.1% from the field this season.

Culver lit up Michigan and Gonzaga in the NCAA Tournament on their way to a Final Four appearance. He received some criticism for his play in the final two games. Culver shot just 8-34 in the National Semi-Final and Championship.

Final two games aside, Culver is a talent. He is a 6'5 guard with long arms who can jump through the roof. This is the type of young player that the Hawks seem to want to add to their roster. Culver could get picked before eight.

There is no guarantee that the sophomore will be there, however, he could end up in Atlanta if he is.

1. Cam Reddish, Duke

Cam Reddish

Reddish went from the clear-cut No. 3 pick before the season to a borderline lottery selection.

He is not the attractive pick anymore, but whoever ends up with Reddish is getting quite a player. Reddish averaged 13.5 points per game in his rookie season.

His shooting numbers were a bit of a concern. He finished 35.6% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range. Reddish was clearly overshadowed by Williamson and RJ Barrett, however he had his moments. For example, his late game shot at Florida State.

This is a player whose game will transfer phenomenally to the next level. Reddish stands at 6'8 and can shoot the lights out. For the Hawks, this seems like a match made in heaven. Atlanta has their point guard, they have their athletic forward, and they have two selections in the top-10.

Reddish will come with some ill feelings no matter where he is picked, but he will make the team that drafts him look like a genius.
