Coming off of a 10-6 season the Miami Dolphins are set up for another great season. Although the Dolphins didn't make the playoffs this past year they showed the potential of the team. With a ton of great young talent, they have set themselves up for greatness.

The Miami Dolphins narrowly missed the playoffs this past season. This year, however, should be different as they are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. With so many potential breakout players on the roster, the Dolphins are set up for success.

3. Offensive tackle Austin Jackson

The 18th pick by the Dolphins in 2020 had some struggles in his rookie campaign. While he wasn't a great player in 2020 he has all the potential to be a franchise tackle. He has a very athletic frame and has solid technique at the position. Jackson's quick feet allowed him to counter moves from pass-rushers. In college, Jackson was quick to second-level blocks and will look to improve in his second season.

2. Defensive tackle Raekwon Davis

Defensive tackle Raekwon Davis has so much potential. He wasn't widely successful in his rookie season but showed promise. He has a unique skill set including length and power that can wreak havoc for any interior offensive lineman. Davis is already a great run stopper and has the tools to become an elite pass rusher. Most elite defensive tackles take time to develop into the player they have the potential to be. Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones is an example of this as he jumped from 2 sacks in his rookie season to 15 in his third year.

Look for Davis to take a similar jump that Chris Jones did and become an elite defensive player.

1. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa

While many people are doubting Tua Tagovailoa's ability he has a ton of talent. Tagovailoa has tremendous accuracy and leadership that will help him develop into a great quarterback. He had an up and down rookie season but an improved offense will ease the pressure off of him.

With the 6th pick in the NFL draft, the Dolphins took wide receiver Jaylen Waddle. Waddle will reunite with Tagovailoa as they played together at Alabama. The Dolphins also signed deep threat wide receiver Will Fuller V who can take the top off the defense. These new targets will help Tua break out into a great quarterback for this season and the future.

After a very successful off-season, the Dolphins are primed for a playoff berth this season. All of the young talent on the roster has the ability to break out which would be scary for opposing teams. The Dolphins were able to upgrade at the offensive and defensive side of the ball which will make for a great 2021 season. Head coach Brian Flores and general manager Chris Grier have done a great job in leading this team back to contention. Grier has made some great trades and signings while Flores has been a great leader in the locker room.

While you may be thinking the Buffalo Bills will run away with the division, don't count the Dolphins out.
