A club that might ultimately feature a starting five of Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, D'Angelo Russell, Ben Simmons, and Patrick Beverley will be a huge force in the playoffs and for the rest of this season. If the Timberwolves do go out and grab him, that may make them be a force in the Western Conference.
They must also understand that when he's on the floor with these other guys, he won't necessarily be damaging their team too much because, as we all know, he can't hit the three-point shot. The Timberwolves, luckily, have other players on the team who can shoot the three-point shot at a high level, so if they do sign Ben Simmons, it will be an ideal situation for them since he will be the one to set up open opportunities for them.
