The Las Vegas Raiders have now lost three games in a row after a blowout loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. After starting the season 3-0, the Raiders have gone 2-5.

There have been some unfortunate events that have occurred within the organization. The players had to deal with Jon Gruden being fired, and their former wide receiver Henry Ruggs killing a woman in a drunken car accident.

The Raiders are a much better team than how they are playing. There's too much talent on that roster to only be 5-5 on the year. Let's take a look at three takeaways from another disappointing Raiders loss.

Raiders Week 11 Takeaways

3. Derek Carr needs to be better

Derek Carr has the talent to be an elite quarterback in the NFL. He has shown that throughout the season. He is second in yards with over 3,000 already through 10 games.  also has thrown 16 touchdowns and is top 15 in QBR.

What he showed yesterday against the Bengals is inexcusable on his part. He needs to have more than 215 yards if this Las Vegas team wants to have any success. It doesn't help that the Raiders offensive line has been one of the worst in football. The Bengals' offense also spent most of the time on the field. At the end of the day, Derek Carr needs to make some more plays and get his Raiders team in a position to win the football game.

2. The offense hasn't scored more than 20 points in 3 weeks

Three weeks ago the Las Vegas Raiders lost to the New York Giants and scored 16 points, two weeks ago they lost the Chiefs and scored 14 points, and this past Sunday they scored 13 points against Cincinnati. They haven't faced a good defense in over 3 weeks and haven't managed to put over 16 points on the board once. There is too much talent on the Las Vegas Raiders offense for this to be happening. They have one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, arguably the best tight end in Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow, and others.

The Raiders still have an outside shot to make the playoffs, if they want to do that, their offense needs to step up. It's not going to get easy as they are taking on the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Football Team in the next two weeks. Both those teams feature an elite defense.

1. The tragic Henry Ruggs accident has affected the team

This is obviously expected when one of your players killed a woman in a car accident while driving drunk. It's unfortunate for the Raiders that they had to go through this.

They need to try to regroup, focus on what's ahead of them, and what they can control. It's easier said than done but ever since this has happened their offense and team have not looked the same.

It looks like it's going to be another disappointing year for the Raiders. There is simply too much talent on that squad for them to be playing as bad as they are. We have seen a glimpse of what they can do and they are hoping that they can get back to doing that.
