The Green Bay Packers' playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers opened up the floodgates of speculation regarding the future of star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. One of the most logical locations for Rodgers to play in, besides Green Bay, is with the Denver Broncos. Denver seemingly has a championship core in place, has a prominent voice in the building who is very familiar with Rodgers, and has eerily been faced with a similar situation just like this one not that long ago. That said, here are three reasons why the Broncos need to go all out and trade for Packers star Aaron Rodgers.

Why Broncos Should Trade For Aaron Rodgers

3. Taking a chance on a big-name quarterback paid off once before

Ahh, Broncos fans will remember this one fondly. The team was struggling through a period that could only be described as mediocre. From 2006-2011, Denver had one winning season, two losing seasons and went 8-8 three times. The team employed the likes of Jay Cutler, Kyle Orton, Tim Tebow, and Chris Simms at quarterback. No offense, but none of those guys names scream Lombardi Trophy. All the while, the team around those quarterbacks wasn't so bad. Sound familiar, Broncos fans? The current version of Denver's team since Manning left has employed Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Case Keenum, Joe Flacco, Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater. The team has endured a similar level of mediocrity during this period. Although it wasn't via a trade, the point is, going all out to get Peyton Manning worked. Why not go all out and try to get Aaron Rodgers, another potential all-time great at the position?

2. The Broncos just hired Aaron Rodgers' former offensive coordinator as their head coach

This just makes too much sense. Yes, there are question marks as to if Nathaniel Hackett, recently hired as the Broncos head coach, will make a good leader. However, Hackett just so happened to be the offensive coordinator for the Packers during the past three season where Rodgers, who some thought was beginning to decline, played some of the best football of his career. Rodgers was also effusive in his praise of Hackett when speaking about his former Packers' play-caller. He clearly likes the guy. A change of scenery with the Broncos could be good for Rodgers, though it's nice because it won't be that big of a change with Hackett now the head coach of Denver.

1. Aaron Rodgers could be the missing piece to a championship for the Broncos

Look at this Broncos roster. Denver has two very solid running backs in Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams. They have two very good receivers in Cortland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy, along with a very talented tight end in Noah Fant. Plus, if you buy into the latest rumors, Packers star wideout Davante Adams could be on his way to Denver if Rodgers heads there, which is also something to think about. On the defensive side of the ball, the Broncos have a couple of very talented difference-makers in Patrick Surtain II and Bradley Chubb. There are some areas where Denver needs to improve. Still, seemingly the only thing the Broncos don't have right now is a quarterback to take this talented roster over the top.

So, what do you say Broncos fans? How does a trade for Packers star Aaron Rodgers sound?
