The New York Giants are currently in the midst of yet another rebuild while starting over with a brand new head coach in 2020-21.

With former New England Patriots assistant coach Joe Judge now becoming a first-time NFL head coach in East Rutherford, the Giants' latest leader along the sideline is also gearing up to take part in his first-ever NFL Draft at the helm as well.

As it stands, the Giants will pick at No. 4 overall in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The only teams that will be picking ahead of New York are the Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions.

The 2020 NFL Draft is absolutely loaded with defensive talent. For that reason — even with the rival Redskins potentially primed to select former Ohio State Buckeyes pass rusher Chase Young and the Lions slated to take former Ohio State Buckeyes defensive back Jeff Okudah — the Giants will still be able to select former Clemson Tigers Swiss Army Knife Isaiah Simmons in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The future is already becoming the present on offense for the New York Giants

The New York Giants should most certainly focus solely on the defensive side of the football with the No. 4 pick. With the Giants currently possessing the ability to select Simmons, New York should no doubt capitalize on such an opportunity. The team's offense already has a slew of young and up-and-coming weapons ready to roll.

For starters, the Giants already have the team's quarterback of the future in Daniel Jones under center. Running back Saquon Barkley is in the backfield, while Evan Engram is at tight end. Furthermore, Sterling Shepard — among others — is a potential star at the wide receiver position.

Isaiah Simmons is the most versatile defensive player in this year's NFL Draft class

It is hard to even categorize Simmons by tabbing him at a specific position. General words such as “defender” and “versatile” immediately come to mind. The soon-to-be rookie has the ability to quite literally play all over the field. At Clemson, Simmons notably lined up at cornerback, safety, pass rusher and linebacker at various times throughout his collegiate tenure. Not only that, though, but he managed to play each and every position well and at an elite level.

Isaiah Simmons will make the most immediate impact of any player left at No. 4

Because the Giants do not need a quarterback and likely won't be able to draft pass rusher Young, “Big Blue” should focus its attention on Simmons.

The first-year player can most definitely make an immediate impact at the professional level. Something that the once heralded NFC East franchise needs desperately. Because Simmons can play all over the field, the Giants will almost be selecting more than one player if the former Clemson standout comes off the board at No. 4.

Which is something that New York won't soon regret.
