Seeing the Chicago Bulls miss the postseason for the last couple of seasons doesn’t feel right at all. A franchise that once had the greatest player of all time and six rings should be up there dominating with the best teams in the league. But thanks to bad coaching and questionable roster decisions, the squad from the Windy City has been in limbo since 2017.
This year, the Chicago faithful can finally see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. For one, the Bulls have a credible coach in Billy Donovan to properly develop their young talent. Gar Forman is out and in his place as the Bulls’ executive vice president is Artūras Karnišovas to manage operations.
Chicago’s lineup is also being filled with promising young talent and experienced veterans who can guide them. Players like Coby White, Lauri Markkanen, and Patrick Williams have shown flashes of their potential on both ends of the court, leaving fans excited for the future of Chi-Town.
The biggest draw in Chicago right now and the one player that fans are most thrilled about is Zach LaVine. The seven-year veteran and two-time Slam Dunk champion has been killing it lately. He’s currently averaging 28.6 points per game, the sixth-best in the league right now. He also boasts an elite 4.3 box plus/minus score, placing him 22nd among 190 players.

Both players have a knack for taking over games by scoring at will. And while he very obviously lacks the same level of success or longevity thus far, LaVine has that same scoring spark in him, albeit in a much lower wattage. If cultivated properly, the 25-year old can have the become a world-destroying offensive force that's equal parts effective and exciting.
The Chicago Bulls are within striking distance of the playoffs
Last season, a depleted Brooklyn Nets team grabbed the eighth-spot and made the playoffs in Orlando. It’s safe to say that Chicago has more than enough talent that squad to make a credible playoff run.
As it stands, the Bulls are tied with the Charlotte Hornets at eighth-place in the Eastern Conference with a 14-16 record each. Behind these two teams are the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks, which also possess a good chance to enter the postseason.
If the Chicago Bulls play their cards right and get a spot in the East, you can be sure LaVine is the one leading them there. If this happens, his stock in the card market will spike higher than ever.
