The Indiana Pacers did a fantastic job acquiring Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield during the NBA trade deadline.

The Sacramento Kings' decision to move a young star in Haliburton was highly questioned, but the Indiana Pacers aren't concerned with that and instead focus on what they got out of the trade, and the fact that they clearly won the trade. They won't have to worry about another team's incapacity to manage a front office, which will only speed up their rebuilding process and ensure that they have an outstanding point guard for the future.

Tyrese Haliburton is an excellent fit for the Indiana Pacers for a number of reasons, the most important of which being his ability to serve as the team's point guard for the next 15 years. He can assist them out of a rebuild, and not only can he speed up the process, but he may one day be the point guard of a championship team.

Let's look at three reasons why Halliburton is an excellent fit for the Pacers.

While some supporters may not agree with the reasons why their team traded for him, the front staff made a wonderful move. There was definitely an area where they needed to improve, and while Haliburton may not be the perfect solution, he still has a lot of promise for this team.

3. Provides them with a youthful, dynamic point guard

What could be better for a fan base than a young and energetic point guard who can come in and make an immediate impact? No one, is the easy answer to that question. Most championship teams need a high-level point guard, and while the Indiana Pacers aren't close to winning an NBA championship, they do have someone they can rely on for the next ten years if they can keep Halliburton there for most of his career.

Halliburton is someone that will make people eager to attend Pacers games, and despite the fact that this team has been below-average in recent seasons, he will provide a lot of excitement to its fans.

2. A great player to assist in their rebuilding process

While there's no doubting that the Indiana Pacers are in the midst of a rebuild, this decision may have signaled to fans that the team is serious about expediting the process. They not only went out and acquired a high-level point guard, but they also acquired someone who is young and intriguing. He's practically the ideal player for a rebuilding team since he's not only elite now, but he'll be even better in a few years.

They were also able to sign Buddy Hield, who isn't going to turn this team into a title contender by any means, but he is still a high-level player who will give you some nice minutes while he is on the floor for 25 minutes or more every night.

Indiana obviously wanted to do this, and you have to hand it to their front office for going out and getting the job done. They were able to negotiate a really beneficial deal with the Sacramento Kings. Although it wasnt a good deal for Sacramento, Indiana gets an A+ in this trade. Haliburton is a future star and the Pacers got him for someone who wanted out.

1. Allows them to get rid of Malcolm Brogdon with ease

This is not meant to be any criticism of Malcolm Brogdon, who is a fantastic player in his own right. He's one of those players who can both defend and score at a high level, averaging about 20 points per game over the last two seasons. He's not just a capable point guard, but he's also one of the league's best defenders. When it comes to Brogdon, the fact of the matter is that he is prone to injury. It's a sad fact, but it'd be difficult to argue differently. Although he is a fantastic player, he is prone to injury.

Even if he is an elite player when he is on the court, having someone who is injured all of the time is never going to assist a club, especially one that is attempting to climb out of the NBA's basement and speed up the rebuilding process.

Given the kind of money Malcolm Brogdon is likely to demand the next time he gets a contract extension, it would make perfect sense for the Indiana Pacers to just give Tyrese Haliburton the money and go out and find someone else to pair next to him.
