The relationship between Antonio Brown and the New England Patriots lasted just about as long as Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kris Humphries. After practicing with the team on Friday, New England has chosen to release Brown ahead of Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

Amid his sexual assault allegations, it is arduous to imagine a team in the NFL bringing his baggage into the locker room. However, the NFL is always full of surprise and there could be teams lining up for his services. With that being said, here are three teams who should consider signing Brown following his release from the Patriots.

3. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers are watching their season quickly become derailed just two weeks into the season. Ron Rivera's squad has fallen to the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On top of beginning the season at 0-2, Cam Newton is ruled out for their Week 3 matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals. Newton re-aggravated his foot injury from the preseason in Week 2 and is considered week-to-week.

The Panthers are desperate for playmakers in their offense and as controversial as the signing would be, Rivera wouldn't mince words to the media. Over his nine seasons as the Panthers head coach, he has been straightforward and has handled multiple situations with class.

Therefore, Carolina could become a possible candidate for Brown—if a team actually brings him in.

2. New York Jets

After doing business with the Patriots to acquire Demaryius Thomas, could the New York Jets be interested in Brown? Adam Gase seems like a coach who would be crazy enough to nudge GM Joe Douglas to pull the trigger.

The Jets are in a downtrodden New York state of mind with a bevy of injuries on the roster. Sam Darnold is out with mono, Quincy Enunwa is out for the season with a neck injury, and both C.J. Mosley and Quinnen Williams missed Week 2's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Along with the help needed on offense, Brown has some prior experience with Le'Veon Bell. Brown and Bell played together with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2013-2018.

Maybe having both of them together can get Brown to focusing on football once again. It also could be a complete disaster with both Brown and Bell on the roster, just how it ultimately ended up with the Steelers.

1. Washington Redskins

Who would be a team willing to take a risk on a player who has off-the-field concerns? The Washington Redskins signed Reuben Foster amid domestic violence allegations with little to no remorse.

Along with their willingness to sign players undergoing off-field issues, they could use a boost in their receiving corps. Through two games this season, Washington has relied on Terry McLaurin, Trey Quinn, and Paul Richardson to lead the aerial attack.

As impressive as McLaurin and company have been, Brown would add another dimension to their offense. The Redskins have made questionable decisions in the past and could make another one by signing Antonio Brown.
