Earlier this offseason, the Miami Dolphins used their first-round pick on Christian Wilkins out of Clemson. The Dolphins had a need at defensive tackle and they're getting a talented one in Wilkins.

At Clemson, Wilkins totaled 192 tackles, 16 sacks, and 40.5 tackles for loss. Wilkins spent the majority of his time at Clemson in opposing team's backfields.

The energetic defensive tackle also helped Clemson secure two national championships, both of which came against Alabama and Nick Saban.

Miami is getting a very dynamic player on and off the field in Wilkins. Everyone knows what Wilkins did on the field at Clemson, but let's talk about what he did off it. Here are three things you need to know about Dolphins rookie defensive tackle, Christian Wilkins.

3. Wilkins Could Be a Real-Life Power Ranger

One of the best videos you'll ever see came from the Clemson defensive line on Halloween in 2016. The Clemson defensive line dressed up as Power Rangers—with Wilkins believed to be the white ranger.

Wilkins dressed up along with Dexter Lawrence, who is the largest pink ranger you'll ever see. The guys on the defensive line had an affinity for the Power Rangers and actually nicknamed themselves after the famous kids' TV show.

Therefore, Wilkins could actually be considered a real-life Power Ranger with a helmet and shoulder pads. Nevertheless, that video of the Clemson defensive line should be in a museum somewhere.

2. Wilkins Can (Kind Of) Sing

The electric defensive tackle isn't afraid to live life to the fullest at all times. Wilkins loves to dance and likes showing off the vocals as well.

In 2016, Wilkins posted a video on YouTube of his own rendition of “Carpool Karaoke.” Here's the beautiful video in its entirety for your viewing pleasure.

Also in the video, Wilkins calls Deshaun Watson (now Houston Texans quarterback) to pick him up in his car. Then, hilarity ensued when the two Clemson teammates joined in singing whatever song came on.

It's unlikely that Wilkins would win American Idol, but it's nice to see him show no restraint in letting the world hear his singing voice.

1. Wilkins Actually Taught Kindergarten

One of the most overlooked things when it comes to Wilkins is how smart he really is. At Clemson, he became the first scholarship player in school history to graduate in two and a half years.

In college, he was also given the William V. Campbell Trophy, which is considered the “academic Heisman.” The Dolphins' rookie defensive tackle took an interest in education and actually worked part-time as a kindergarten teacher.

Imagine having a 6-foot-4, 315-pound guy walk in and say he's going to be your substitute teacher. Undoubtedly, there were young kids who were curious why he was so big or what he did for a living.

Now, Wilkins has a newfound knowledge in teaching after being a substitute teacher at James M. Brown Elementary in Walhalla, South Carolina. Wilkins compared being among kindergarten kids to Arnold Schwarzenegger in Kindergarten Cop.

So during the season, you can catch Wilkins taking down the quarterback. During the offseason, you may catch him in a classroom, teaching kindergarten kids.
