Jimmy Garoppolo was expected to break out with a huge season in 2018 for the San Francisco 49ers and possibly even take them back to the playoffs. Unfortunately, a torn ACL ended his season and sent the franchise to another losing season and high draft pick.

Thankfully, his recovery has been going well. He has been attacking the rehab process and looks ready to take the field as the face of the franchise once again in 2019. If that is the case, expectations will be high for San Francisco.

San Francisco made the move to acquire Garoppolo from the New England Patriots a couple years back. He played in six games after the trade, completing 67.4 percent of his pass attempts for 1,560 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions.

Last season, however, Garoppolo was able to play in just three regular season games. He completed 59.6 percent of his passes for 718 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. Even before the injury, he hadn't been living up to quite as much hype as had surrounded him during the offseason.

All of that being said, the fans cannot wait to get him back on the field. San Francisco is still hoping that he is their answer under center.

Let's dive in and take a look at three way-too-early bold predictions for Garoppolo in 2019.

Jimmy Garoppolo

3. Jimmy G Throws for 4,000 Yards, 35 Touchdowns

Starting off, Garoppolo will be judged heavily from the stats that he puts up in 2019. He is going to have his work cut out for him, but with George Kittle, Dante Pettis, Marquise Goodwin, and Jordan Matthews on the roster, he has a good receiving corps to work with.

John Lynch went out and signed running back Tevin Coleman in free agency as well. He was a top-notch dual-threat back during his time with the Atlanta Falcons.

Garoppolo has plenty of weapons to work with and those weapons will help him put up big numbers. Throwing for 4,000 yards and 35 touchdowns is certainly a good goal, albeit a high one for Garoppolo to have.

2. Garoppolo Only Throws Seven Interceptions

One of the most difficult things for young quarterbacks to develop is their decision-making. Garoppolo has shown that he will turn the football over. That will start changing this season in a big way.

Even though he will throw for 4,000 yards and 35 touchdowns, Garoppolo will only throw seven interceptions.

If he can keep his turnovers that low, the 49ers' offense is going to be tough to stop. He will have his work cut out for him, but is more than capable of accomplishing this goal.

1. San Francisco Will Make a Run to the Playoffs

Finally, the 49ers are building their organization with the goal of getting back into playoff contention. They were hoping to be in that position last year, but Garoppolo's injury ended that hope. His return will propel them to the playoffs in 2019.

That's right, San Francisco will make it back to the playoffs. The team has more work to do on their roster, but they have enough talent to make a run and earn a Wild Card spot.

San Francisco will have to compete with the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and Arizona Cardinals all season long. That competition will not be easy, but they will claw and fight their way into the postseason.
