Altogether, there 30-plus players that were forced to go into quarantine that plays football at LSU. However, some of them have tested positive, while others were in contact with players that tested positive.
On Friday, there were reports of 100-plus cases of coronavirus that stemmed from bars in the LSU area. Therefore, it's assumed that some of the players were present at those bars that caused an uptick in cases of the disease.
Even though it's not an NFL issue, seeing LSU players test positive for COVID-19 is not a welcomed sight for the league. Throughout this week alone, there have been multiple players in the NFL to come back with a positive test.
It began with reports of Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys testing positive for the coronavirus. Then, it was revealed that a member of San Francisco's offense had tested positive. Lastly, on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter shared that two players on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tested positive.
The NFL has already exclaimed that they expect cases of the coronavirus to happen within the NFL. At the same time, the league is concerned with limiting the risks of players being exposed to it. With training camps set to take place next month, having 30-plus players at LSU test positive is not a positive sign for the NFL or any sports for that matter.
