Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are fresh off of a 27-16 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon. With that win, the Packers moved to 3-0 on the young season. It made Matt LaFleur the second head coach in franchise history to start his career 3-0, joining legendary coach Vince Lombardi.

Now, the Packers are facing a quick turnaround with their second Thursday Night Football game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles.

This is going to be a major test for the Packers. Even though the Eagles are banged up and have played very inconsistent football, they are capable of putting up big numbers. They certainly offer the Packers their biggest offensive threat that they have faced this season.

Carson Wentz is still one of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL. The Eagles are likely going to be without wide receiver DeSean Jackson, but Alshon Jeffery is currently expected to play. Philadelphia also has talented running backs in Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders.

Defensively, the Eagles are susceptible to giving up big games. They are without Ronald Darby and they have suffered a lot of injuries on the defensive line as well.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at four reasons the Packers will win this week's matchup with the Eagles.

Preston Smith, Packers

4. Green Bay's Pass Rush Will Get To Wentz

One of the biggest aspects of the Packers being 3-0 has been the play of their defense. Preston and Za'Darius Smith have completely transformed the teams pass rush. Add in the impact that Rashan Gary is starting to make and the Eagles have a tough task ahead of them.

Mike Pettine currently has one of the best defenses in the NFL and they will come through with another big game. Wentz is a great quarterback, but the Packers are going to be all over him early and often.

3. Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams Are Dangerous

Matt LaFleur loves setting up the pass by establishing the running game and that will be the case this week once again. Both Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams have been dangerous this season and they are going to do so again this week.

Jamaal Williams, Packers

The Eagles may not give up 100 yards on the ground, but the Packers will be able to do just enough on the ground. Jones and Williams will pick up tough yardage and help move the chains. That will take the pressure off of Aaron Rodgers and will give him an opportunity to make big plays.

2. Speaking of Rodgers…

While we are still on the topic of Aaron Rodgers, he is going to have a massive performance against the Eagles. Green Bay's passing game has been inconsistent at best this season. That will change this week.

Philadelphia's secondary has been unable to stop opposing offenses so far this season. They are banged up and they don't have top-notch playmakers. With names like Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to go up against the Eagles, Rodgers is going to have a big-time game.

Darnell Savage

1. The Secondary Will Feast Again

Finally, the Packers have a secondary capable of making big plays. Jaire Alexander, Kevin King, Darnell Savage, and Adrian Amos are all quality players and they are going to have another big performance this week.

Green Bay is going to put a lot of pressure on Wentz and the secondary will make him pay for any mistakes he makes. Without DeSean Jackson, the Eagles are somewhat one-dimensional in the passing game. The Packers will still have to deal with Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, and Zach Ertz, but they will make some big plays and force a couple of turnovers to help pull out a big win.
