Russell Wilson has already led the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory in 2014 and he is primed to get the job done again this season. The Seahawks currently hold the top wild-card spot and even if they have to play on the opening weekend, they are in good shape to get the job done. Let's breakdown four reasons the Seahawks will win the Super Bowl.

4. Star power on defense

The defense for the Seahawks haven't been great this year, but don't let that fool you, this is a squad filled with star power, that is built for the playoffs.

K.J. Wright is one of the best linebackers in all of football. The team also traded for cornerback Quandre Diggs and Jadeveon Clowney who have both been big assets for the defense. The trade for Diggs has also taken off some of the pressure of Tre Flowers and the secondary is much improved.

3. Battle-Tested

One thing important for a playoff team is to be battle-tested, and the Seahawks are that. The Seahawks have three losses on the season, but they also have some key wins. They have beaten teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers.

That 49ers win was on the road and there is a good chance they will have to go to San Francisco to play a game in the playoffs. That win early in the season should give them a lot of confidence if they do have to go on the road again. They also gave the New Orleans Saints everything they could handle earlier this season and even though they lost, they know they can compete with everyone in the league.

2. Chris Carson

if Chris Carson played for a different team he would probably get a lot more attention for what he has done with the Seahawks. On the season Carson has rushed 246 times for 1,057 yards, and five touchdowns. He is a bruising back that usually takes more than one guy to take down.

“I was hanging on Chris Carson,” Carroll said via the Seahawks team website. “… I really love this guy because he is so physical and tough the way he ran. You haven’t heard a whole lot about him he hasn’t run the ball a lot, but when he did, he made a great statement of his style and a style we really covet.

Tough running converts well in the playoffs and he is going to be hard to any defense the Seahawks plays.

1. Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson is having another big year and if it wasn't for Lamar Jackson he very well could be the league MVP. Wilson is also the type of player built for the playoffs. He plays the best when he is under a lots of pressure and it seems once or twice a game he makes a play no one expects.

When the Seahawks need the big plays during the playoffs, Wilson will make them, and he can lead the Seahawks to another Super Bowl victory.
