The San Francisco 49ers are set to host the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship as they look to punch their ticket to Super Bowl LIV. Fortunately, it appears tight end George Kittle will be good to go.

Kittle had been nursing an ankle injury all week that made him a limited participant in practice. However, he was not listed on the 49ers final injury report indicating he has been cleared to play against the Packers, via the team's official Twitter:

This is certainly an encouraging update considering the prospect of Kittle's absence would have left a huge void on offense. San Francisco can now take solace in the fact that arguably the best tight end in the game will be in the mix for them versus Green Bay.

Kittle is coming off another year of stellar production after finishing the 2019 NFL season with 85 receptions for 1,053 yards and five touchdowns en route to Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors for the second consecutive year. Perhaps the most impressive part of his game is the role he plays in the 49ers' blocking scheme.

Kittle absolutely obliterated the Packers defense during their first meeting in Week 12 when he hauled in six receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown. It is safe to say that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will be relying on him heavily to do his bidding in the passing game once again. Of course, his injury could also be something for the coaching staff to monitor throughout the course of the game.
