It has been another long and disappointing season for the San Francisco 49ers. The storied NFL franchise has yet to win a game as the NFL passes the halfway point of the 2017 campaign and with the team struggling running back Carlos Hyde doesn't want to talk about his future in San Francisco at this point.

Hyde recently talked about his future and was reluctant to address a potential contract extension with the 49ers as he is solely focused on getting the team back on the right track, via Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports.

“I spoke to my agent about it, but I told him I don’t want to talk about a contract extension or anything like that right now,” Hyde said. “I want to focus on getting our first win and finishing the season off. I told him once we get to that point, we can talk about it.”

The 49ers are a team going through some drastic changes. San Francisco made a few major additions to the franchise by hiring John Lynch as general manager, Kyle Shanahan as head coach, and trading for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo as they attempt to right the ship.

With so many changes in a short amount of time, it'll be interesting to see how things pan out with Hyde and if the two sides ultimately decide to part ways. Hyde's contract expires after this season making him a free agent and a potential target for many teams around the league for an upgrade at the running back position.

In nine games this season, Hyde has 124 carries for 494 rushing yards and four touchdowns. The 27-year-old also has 40 receptions on the year for 268 yards.
