Rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel is doing everything he can to get Emmanuel Sanders back on the San Fransisco 49ers.

Samuel took to Twitter on Wednesday to express his thoughts on Sanders, who is set to become a free agent this offseason.

Samuel isn't the first 49ers player to advocate for Sanders' return. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has explicitly told media that he would like Sanders back on the team for next season.

San Francisco traded the Denver Broncos for Sanders in October in exchange for third and fourth-round picks in 2020. Denver also included a 2020 fifth-round pick in addition to Sanders.

In 10 regular season games for the 49ers, the 32-year-old wideout caught 36 balls for 502 yards and three touchdowns. Added to the seven games he played for Denver and the two-time Pro Bowler managed to eclipse 800 yards for the fifth time in his career.

Sanders was undoubtedly a major target for Garoppolo and the 49ers on their way to their Super Bowl appearance. And while Sanders will turn 33 next month, the veteran has proved his ability to still be an effective weapon in this league.

As for Samuel, the second-round pick out of South Carolina was a breakout player for San Fransisco this season. Samuel's 961 yards from scrimmage ranked third among first-year receivers and his seven total touchdowns ranked third on the team behind running backs Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman.

Sanders joins the 49ers' long list of upcoming free agents that includes defensive stars Arik Armstead and Jimmie Ward.
