The San Francisco 49ers have looked phenomenal against the Minnesota Vikings so far. Deebo Samuel has played a vital role, dominating Minnesota’s defense with ease. Unfortunately, Samuel fell to injury, which doesn’t bode well for San Francisco’s chances moving forward.

According to Matt Barrows, “Deebo Samuel (groin) is questionable to return.” The 49ers need Samuel in the lineup, as he’s been an incredibly consistent option as a receiver and running back for this offense. He’s been a utility weapon and provides San Francisco with the firepower they need to compete with anybody.

Depending on how serious the injury is, the 49ers might consider keeping Deebo Samuel out for the remainder of the game. San Francisco is in a position where they have to run the clock out and don’t necessarily need Samuel for that. It might be smarter to let him rest the injury and see if he’s good to go in Week 13.

It’s not like San Francisco is dead in the water without Deebo Samuel in the lineup. The 49ers have a few other weapons available in George Kittle and Elijah Mitchell. If Samuel is due to miss some time, the coaching staff is likely to find a decent replacement for the time being.

Keep an eye on the 49ers, as they’ll be evaluating Samuel throughout the week. It doesn’t seem to be too serious, as Samuel was seen walking along the sidelines. He’s likely to miss some time during practice to rest up the injury, but could be back in action sooner, rather than later.
