DeForest Buckner has only been with the San Francisco 49ers for three years, but he has a motivation to get on the team's 10-year wall. A framed 8×10 photo appears of every 49ers player in the team's history who was on the team for longer than 10 years. Joe Staley is one of the current players on the wall and Buckner would like to be one of the next.

“It’s one of the first things you see every day you walk in,” 49ers defensive lineman DeForest Buckner said via NBC Sports. “I’m not going to lie. I look at it all the time. Sometimes I picture my face on the wall. It’s very motivating to see.”

Buckner is under contract with the 49ers for two years with the last year being a team option, but Buckner made it clear he doesn't want to go anywhere else.

“This organization is special,” Buckner said. “Obviously, they’ve done it in the past. We’re taking steps forward to do it in the future. Kyle and John and the type of culture that they’ve brought in with them, and the guys they wanted and the guys they chose to be here, we’re all on board, and I’m very excited with where everything is going.”

Buckner had a breakout year last year racking up 12 sacks and being named to the Pro Bowl. The 49ers hope they are building some special and Buckner is going to be a key piece of this team for many years going forward, or at least that's what he hopes.
