One of the side effects of the outbreak of COVID-19 is the acceleration of connecting with folks from their homes. The subsequent shutdown of businesses and schools have forced people to stay inside. For San Francisco 49ers star tight end George Kittle, that means giving fans exclusive access to his workouts from his own home.

According to Jennifer Lee Chan in NBC Sports Bay Area, the 26-year-old two-time Pro Bowl tight end launched “Garage Gainz Challenge.” It's a website dedicated to demonstrating Kittle's “gains” and workout routines. It motivates viewers and shows fans how the quarantined 49ers player is staying in shape amid the coronavirus public-health crisis in the United States.

Athletes from major sports in the U.S. have begun inviting fans into their homes over the past three weeks as they stay home. Public health warnings have been advised across the nation. And athletes' videos have diverted boredom with entertaining ways to engage the sports-hungry masses.

Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry, for example, had an Instagram Live Q&A with Dr. Anthony Fauci. Faucis is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The Instagram Live Q&A was to give people at home tips to stay safe.

Kittle, coming off another 1,000-plus-yard season with the 49ers, will train with trainer Josh Cuthbert in an informal location rather than his normal gym, Lipscomb Academy in Tennessee.

“It’s by any means necessary,” Cuthbert said. “We are going get it in regardless of the location.”
