George Kittle is known to be an avid fan of wrestling, and he channeled his inner Ric Flair to celebrate his new contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

After officially signing his massive extension, Kittle released a statement on the team's official website.

All in all, in his statement, Kittle showed his gratitude to those that helped him secure a new contract with the 49ers. From his family to his teammates, the All-pro tight end made sure not to leave anyone out of his thoughtful statement.

“It's an incredible locker room to be a part of and I am grateful to my brothers for making this such a fun and exciting place to play football,” the 49ers tight end said in a part of the statement before ending it with a resounding “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

Throughout the offseason, the hottest topic surrounding the 49ers was George Kittle's pending contract status. Once the 2019 season concluded, many wondered when Kittle was going to get a raise from San Francisco.

After months of discussions, both sides reached an agreement on a five-year, $75 million deal. As a result, Kittle now becomes the highest-paid tight end in the NFL. Prior to that, Hunter Henry had a short-lived stint as the highest-paid tight end, as he is slated to make $10.6 million in 2020 under the franchise tag.

Since being taken in the 2017 NFL Draft, Kittle has done nothing but exceed his value as a fifth-round pick. In the past two seasons alone, he has notched 85-plus receptions, 1,050-plus yards, and five touchdowns in each season.

Besides his astounding receiving ability, the 26-year-old star has proven to be a menace in the trenches as well. Given his willingness and dominance as a run blocker, Kittle has received the label as the most well-rounded tight end in the NFL.
