Many consider San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice as the greatest wide receiver of all time. Randy Moss, however, named none other than himself as the greatest receiver ever, with Terrell Owens as 2nd, all while bumping down the 13-time Pro-Bowler to third or fourth.

The former 49ers star certainly did not agree with Moss' hot take and fired back with an Instagram post showcasing a side-by-side graphic of their respective career accomplishments. The 58-year old even captioned the post using the current TV analyst's signature line – “You just got MOSSED!”

The numbers were not particularly close and it's hard to make an argument against them. Rice had more longevity and played 21 years in the league. Meanwhile, Moss retired at the age of 35 after 14 seasons in the NFL. The longer career gave Rice a 567 career receptions advantage over Moss. Rice amassed 1,549 total receptions on 22,895 yards, while Moss had 982 catches across 15,292 yards in his career. Rice also scored 197 touchdowns to Moss' 156.

In terms of team success, Rice won three Super Bowls with the 49ers, while Moss never won a title in his 14-year career. The 13-time Pro-Bowler also won MVP in Super Bowl XXIII.

Nonetheless, Moss argued that while Jerry Rice had the better career accolades and stats, he believes he had a higher impact on changing the game and being a dominant force when he was at his peak. That's a valid claim, but it's hard to discredit everything that Rice has accomplished throughout his career.

The numbers speak for themselves and despite Randy Moss' valiant effort in turning the conversation to his favor, it's going to be hard to sway people from believing the former 49ers wideout is the greatest receiver of all time.
