Super Bowl LIV is set to be an exciting affair as the San Francisco 49ers face the Kansas City Chiefs. While Niners Nation is looking forward to the big game, Kyle Shanahan is quietly nervous about the prospect of coaching in the Super Bowl once again.

While this is the first time he'll be playing in the Super Bowl as a head coach, this is not his first rodeo in the biggest game of the year. He was the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons that famously blew a comfortable lead to give the New England Patriots one of their most famous victories yet.

The 49ers coach admitted that he was devastated by the loss. Per ESPN's Nick Wagoner:

“You do it every second in the days after; they were real tough. Losing the Super Bowl is extremely tough for everybody, especially when you have a 28-3 lead going into the fourth.”

However, Shanahan clarified that running the game would have won the Falcons the game. Moreover, he is just happy that he gets another shot at redemption, this time with the 49ers.

“I know what went into that game and all the stuff that happened, so that stuff didn't bother me. You've got to deal with that and listen to other people, but it was nice to be able to move on and move out here and just keep working. I'm glad I'm going to get the chance to go back.”

Shanahan has one of the best defenses in the NFL, and Jimmy Garoppolo is playing unbelievably solid from the pocket. He has all the opportunities to right the wrongs that happened in Super Bowl LI. While the Kansas City Chiefs aren't a cakewalk, he will be throwing everything he has to get the chance to lift the Lombardi Trophy, this time for the 49ers.
