Both the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs have had two weeks to prepare for Super Bowl 54, giving them more than enough time to prepare themselves. With just one day until the pivotal matchup, Kyle Shanahan is itching for the game to finally begin.

“We’re as ready as we can be,” Shanahan told Jenny Vrentas of TheAthletic. “We just need the game to get here. It’s been two weeks of [practice], and we are itching to go.”

On Saturday, Shanahan held a walkthrough for the team to keep his players loose. Following the walkthrough, Shanahan took the players to Hard Rock Stadium to give the players a taste of what it was going to look like on Sunday.

In addition, Shanahan and the 49ers conducted a simulation of the extended halftime break. It's safe to say that Shanahan came well equipped to Miami as he even had Brad Wing come in and punt in practice to emulate Dustin Colquitt's left-footed punts.

Without a doubt, San Francisco is mentally prepared to play the Super Bowl. However, once the game is nearing kickoff,  the pre-game nerves could kick in for some of the inexperienced players. A majority of players on Sunday are playing in the first Super Bowl of their career.

At the least, Shanahan has done everything he possibly can to put San Francisco in a position to win. Now, it will be up to the 46 active players on the roster to perform well enough to hoist the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday night.
