The San Francisco 49ers wouldn't be where they are in the Wild Card round without star defensive end Nick Bosa. Since entering the league in 2019, Bosa has emerged as one of the NFL's most feared pass rushers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan knows all about the talents of his star defensive end but feels as if the 49ers star is underappreciated. In fact, Shanahan sounded off on how good Bosa is amid the star's consideration for the NFL's DPOY award.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that people don't appreciate just how good Nick Bosa is. He went on to say that while the San Francisco star deserves to be in the conversation for Comeback Player of the Year, he feels that the Bosa has a case for DPOY as well.

Bosa, 24, tore his ACL last season and played in only two games for the 49ers. Well, the comeback is officially complete for the former Ohio State Buckeye, as Bosa has been a difference-maker en route to a career-high 15.5 sacks this season.

However, Shanahan is saying that Bosa's greatness goes beyond the stat sheet, to the point where people don't realize how good he is on a play-to-play basis. Bosa has an Aaron Donald-like influence in that he commands double-teams, much like the Los Angeles Rams' three-time DPOY award-winner does.

Kyle Shanahan wants more people to recognize the little things that Nick Bosa does for the 49ers play-in and play-out as a legitimate DPOY award contender.
