San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is likely out for Sunday's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a personal matter. The 49ers announced Saturday that Goodwin was downgraded to doubtful and excused from the team.

San Francisco is coming off a bye week after losing 27-23 to the New York Giants on Monday Night Football in Week 10. Goodwin had one of his more productive games of the season in that loss, catching four passes for 69 yards.

The 28-year-old wide receiver is second on the team in receiving yards with 339, despite being sixth on the team in catches. Goodwin has caught 17 passes on the season, giving him a massive average of 19.9 yards per catch. He leads the squad with four touchdown receptions.

In addition to Goodwin, the 49ers will also be without fellow wide receiver Pierre Garcon due to a knee injury. Garcon is second on the team with 24 receptions and third on the team with 286 receiving yards. The veteran wideout has one touchdown on the year.

With Marquise Goodwin and Pierre Garcon out, tight end George Kittle will be counted on even more in the passing game. Kittle has been the most productive pass-catcher by far in San Francisco this season, with 50 catches, 775 yards and three touchdowns to his name.
