It is no secret that San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has not only become one of the best players at his position but the standout offensive weapon has also quickly become one of the best all-around players in the NFL today.

As a result of his stellar play over the course of the last several seasons, Kittle now remains in line for a massive pay day sooner rather than later.

According to Jay Glazer of The Athletic, Kittle is about to “break the bank” with his eventual contract extension with the 49ers.

He’s going to break the bank, and rightfully so. He’s someone you don’t have to worry about because he has a work ethic. He’s not just trying to be famous, he’s trying to be great. That’s a big thing. Too many of these cats try to be famous instead of being great, not realizing that if you’re great, you will be famous. George Kittle could have dominated in any generation or era. That’s quite a rare find.

A two-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro selection from a season ago, Kittle was originally selected by the 49ers in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Iowa. Remaining with the 49ers for the entirety of his professional playing career to date, Kittle has since become the focal point of the San Francisco offense while proving that he can truly do it all from the tight end position.

Notably leading the 49ers to a NFC title and an appearance in the Super Bowl in 2019-20, Kittle has now surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark in each of the last two seasons. Over the course of that same span, he has produced 10 receiving touchdowns.
