San Francisco 49ers fans held their breath last weekend when star defensive end Nick Bosa took a blow to the head while attempting to make a tackle during the victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Bosa was forced to exit the game and did not return.

Following the contest, the 49ers star was placed in the league's concussion protocol, putting his status for their clash with the Green Bay Packers up in the air. Via NBC Sports, the 49ers received a critical Bosa injury update following Wednesday's practice.

Pro Bowl defensive end Nick Bosa returned to the 49ers' practice field on Wednesday, an encouraging sign he is advancing through the NFL's concussion protocol.
Bosa appears to be on pace to be available against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night in an NFC Divisional Round Game at Lambeau Field.

This is a huge sigh of relief for the 49ers ahead of their game against the Packers. They are now likely to have Bosa on the field and his presence will be huge for a San Francisco defense that will be tasked with stopping perhaps the hottest quarterback in the NFL right now in Packers star Aaron Rodgers.
