The San Fransisco 49ers are looking to dominate in the trenches. The team made a splash during the recent NFL Draft by trading for former Washington Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams. Paired up with second-year defensive end Nick Bosa, the Niners have cornerstones at the end of both their offensive and defensive lines.

Speaking of Bosa, the 2019 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year spoke to media about his newest teammate.

Per Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area:

“He’s a really good athlete,” Bosa said. “The biggest thing that stands out is his athleticism and his feet. He’s able to recover so quickly. I saw a rep where somebody spun on him and he got beat but was able to [rebound] because he has feet like a receiver. He can move his feet so well and stay in front of guys and he’s massive, so it’s tough to beat with power. He’s one of the best in the league so it will be fun to practice against him.”

Williams, a seven-time Pro-Bowler, sat out for the 2019 season due to contractual and personal grievances with the Redskins. But, now, the 31-year-old tackle will be joining the most recent NFC champion, the 49ers, and will replace now-retired Joe Staley on the team's offensive line.

“I’ve started looked at film of some guys, and a little bit of film on Trent, so I’m not caught off guard when camp rolls around,” Bosa said. “We get cut-ups of all the tackles and (defensive-line coach) Kris (Kocurek) does a great job of that. One of the things that, as a defensive end, you need to focus on is knowing your opponent.”

Bosa, the No. 2 overall pick of the 2019 draft, dominated as a rookie for the 49ers, recording 47 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, nine sacks and one interception playing in 16 games and making 14 starts.
