Richard Sherman made the switch from the Seattle Seahawks to the San Francisco 49ers this offseason. It was a move that shocked the NFL, but also left Sherman unhappy with the way things went down. Maybe “unhappy” is not the right word to use, but disrespected certainly would be.

In a quote shared by Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, Sherman felt disrespected by his former team.

San Francisco is hoping to play spoiler to the Seahawks this week. Seattle has been trying to work their way back into the NFL playoff picture and have been able to do a good job of it. If they can win this week, the Seahawks are going to be 7-5 on the season and will be looking decent in the playoff race.

Sherman has bounced back well from the torn Achilles that ended his 2017 season with the Seahawks. He has become a key piece of the 49ers' defense and is hoping to have a huge game this week.

He has racked up 24 tackles to go along with a sack and four defended passes. Sherman doesn't have an interception yet this season, but is certainly eyeing getting his first this week against Russell Wilson.

At 30 years old, Sherman is in the final stages of his prime. He is signed through the 2020 NFL season, but there is a potential out in his contract after this season. More than likely, Sherman will end up staying with the 49ers for more than just this season.

Expect to see Sherman come out with a chip on his shoulder this week. These two teams always bring a lot of aggression to the field and adding in Sherman's feelings towards his old team will certainly fuel that fire.
