San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman clearly isn't upset at all with the recent comments by Seattle Seahawks defensive end Frank Clark.

It was Clark that said earlier in the week that the Sherman era was over in Seattle and that it was now his team, which caused some to wonder what the response may be from the four-time Pro Bowl corner.

Unfortunately for those who wanted a spicy response, Sherman's thoughts on the matter were pretty mild.

Here's what he had to say about Clark's comments, courtesy of ESPN's Nick Wagoner:

“It's like a mouse in a room,” Sherman said. “It's like, ‘Kids say the darnedest things.' It didn't bother me at all. It just seemed like a guy who is probably tired of hearing the same questions. Like, I wasn't even part of that game and they're still asking him questions after the game about me. I'd probably be pretty annoyed, too, if we won a game and somebody comes and asks me about a guy who either wasn't involved in this game or on my team. It's kind of weird but it doesn't bother me.

“The era was over in my mind. Obviously. I'm here.”

That was a pretty anticlimactic response, so maybe all the attention won't be on the off-field matters when the two teams meet on Sunday in San Francisco.

The Seahawks are hoping to keep their momentum going to try to reach the playoffs, while the Niners will look to build off their Week 14 victory over the Denver Broncos.
