San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman is battling a hamstring injury, but that won't stop him from getting on the field this Saturday when the Niners battle the Los Angeles Rams.

“I'll be out there on Saturday,” Sherman told reporters after Wednesday's practice, per David Bonilla of 49ers Web Zone. “There's no question. There's nothing I need to show them. I've gone through practice. Today, we had a full-speed practice (the team had a walk-through on Tuesday). There were no tweaks, nothing to be concerned about on my end, so I feel comfortable about that. They feel comfortable about it.”

Sherman initially sustained the injury during San Francisco's Week 14 win over the New Orleans Saints and did not play in the 49ers' stunning loss to the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday.

The veteran has had a terrific bounce-back season in 2019, having logged 53 combined tackles, three interceptions, 11 passes defended and a defensive touchdown in 13 games en route to a Pro Bowl selection.

Sherman joined the 49ers in March 2018 and was coming off of a torn Achilles at the time. As a result, Sherman struggled in his first year in the Bay, finishing with just 37 combined tackles, a sack and four passes defended.

The 31-year-old spent the first eight years of his career with the Seattle Seahawks, making four Pro Bowls while earning first-team All-Pro honors three times. He also was a vital part of a dominant defense that led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl title during the 2013-14 campaign.

San Francisco is 11-3 on the year.
