The San Francisco 49ers face a tall task as they enter Lambeau Field to take on Aaron Rodgers and the top-seeded Green Bay Packers. While pulling off the upset win won't be easy, they at least seem fully equipped to try and make it happen.
49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and defensive end Nick Bosa, both hampered with injuries of late, look poised to be a full go for the Packers showdown.
Jimmy Garoppolo has been dealing with a lingering thumb injury that actually caused his subsequent shoulder injury during San Francisco's win over the Dallas Cowboys last week. Bracing for a fall on his thumb during the second quarter of the contest, he ended up landing hard on his shoulder.
Here’s the most clear view of the play on which Jimmy Garoppolo hurt his shoulder.
Randy Gregory beat Daniel Brunskill clean and Micah Parsons pushed Trent Williams back, leading Garoppolo to be hit from both sides at once.

Garoppolo was limited in the 49ers' Tuesday practice but was upgraded to a full participant in the final two practices. Jimmy G officially has no injury designation heading into Saturday.
Via NBC Sports:
“Threw the ball great,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said on Jimmy Garoppolo in practice. “He looked as good as he did the week before… Jimmy's been playing through things but why he's full go. He's good enough to play and we don't plan it any differently.”
Nick Bosa, on the other hand, is still tagged as “questionable” as he tries to clear concussion protocol from the Cowboys contest as well. But all signs point to the 49ers defender being primed to finish protocol and make it for the contest. Shanahan even went so far as hint that the injury designation was but a mere formality.
“You got to put him on there (the injury report) because of the steps of the protocol,” Shanahan said. “But it's looking good.”
The San Francisco 49ers are going to be near full strength when they take on the Packers. That's all you can ask for.
