After a mere one game absence, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is now set to make his return to action in the San Francisco 49ers' Week 7 home matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.

Garoppolo was held out from the 49ers' Week 5 road game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a notable calf injury that he suffered in the week prior. In his place, rookie quarterback Trey Lance made his first career start in the NFL, where he recorded an interception and 192 passing yards against the current NFC West leaders.

The bye week came at an opportune time for Garoppolo; he continued to rehab his injury last week. This played a vital role in his participation in practice this week. He was limited on both Wednesday and Thursday but was then a full participant during the team's scheduled practice session on Friday.

With Lance currently sidelined due to a left knee sprain injury, Garoppolo is now slated to start for San Francisco in the upcoming Sunday Night Football encounter with Indianapolis. Garoppolo was not listed in the team's final injury report ahead of the game.

Following the 49ers' scheduled practice session on Friday, head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that the veteran quarterback is ready to feature again for the team.

“He got better each day and I see him as 100-percent now,” Shanahan said.

Garoppolo may be without offensive tackle Trent Williams for Week 7, as he is being listed as questionable due to an elbow and ankle injury.

Garoppolo will look to snap San Francisco's three-game losing streak in the upcoming clash with the Colts.
