Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is on the trade block, but one team that won't be trying to bring him in is the San Francisco 49ers. There have been a lot of rumors about Beckham's future on the team, and Bart Scott of ESPN confirmed the Browns are actively shopping him.

“Just know you heard it here first … I’m telling you right now, Odell Beckham is on the trading block and it’s real right now.”

With Beckham on the trade block, the next logical question is what teams might be interested in trading for him. With Emmanuel Sanders moved on to the New Orleans Saints, the 49ers have a big hole again at wide receiver, so it would make sense for the team to try and go after a guy like Beckham.

According to Jay Glazer of The Athletic, the 49ers are trying to pick up more draft capital, not trade it away, so Beckham is out of the question.

“Nope. No truth to that. Sorry, gang. I know the 49ers loved him but they are trying to rebuild draft capital, not give up draft capital.”

The 49ers currently own two first-round draft picks, but then they don't pick again until the fifth round. One way to get more draft picks would be to trade down in the draft to add a couple more picks.

With the two first-round draft picks the 49ers could also draft a wide receiver that they hope could become an impact player right away.
