Monday Night Football between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks just got more interesting, as 49ers kicker Robbie Gould is nursing a quad injury that could keep the veteran off the field. Chase McLaughlin is now with the Niners in case Gould isn't good to go:
Sources: #49ers kicker Robbie Gould has a strained quad that puts his availability very much in doubt for Monday night vs. the #Seahawks and SF is signing FA K Chase McLaughlin.

McLaughlin spent Weeks 5-8 with the Los Angeles Chargers before getting cut by the team. McLaughlin went 6-for-9 on field goal attempts with the Chargers.
Gould is having a difficult 2019 season with the 49ers, making just 13-of-20 field goals, but he has not missed any of his 26 attempted extra points.
This season's struggles are in stark contrast to Gould's 2018 season, when he went 33-for-34 on field goal attempts and 27-of-29 on extra points.
Having a free agent come in and boot during one of the most important games this season could be a major problem for the Niners. San Francisco, still boasting an undefeated record, will take on the 7-2 Seahawks in Santa Clara. One could the game coming down to a game-winning field goal.
Kicking issues are also a thing in Seattle, though, as Jason Myers failed to hit the go-ahead field goal last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before the team won in overtime. Myers is 12-for-17 on field goals this season.
With both teams struggling to find a consistent kicking game, Monday Night's bout between NFC West rivals could significantly affect the playoff picture.
