The San Francisco 49ers are going to have two weeks to prepare themselves for the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl and it appears they'll have Tevin Coleman available. According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports, Coleman was getting in work at San Francisco's practice ahead of Super Bowl 54.

During last week's game against the Green Bay Packers, Coleman suffered an injury to his right shoulder. Soon after San Francisco's win over the Packers, Coleman was diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder. The veteran running back finished the game with six carries for 21 yards.

Last offseason, the 49ers signed Coleman to a two-year deal that was worth $10 million. The signing of Coleman didn't come as a surprise due to him working with Kyle Shanahan before with the Atlanta Falcons.

Despite sharing carries with Matt Breida, Raheem Mostert, and Jeff Wilson, Coleman still rushed for 544 yards and six touchdowns in 2019. The versatile running back also hauled in 21 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown.

In San Francisco's first playoff game versus the Minnesota Vikings, Coleman gashed the Vikings for 105 yards and two scores. As a result, the 49ers advanced to the NFC Championship behind Coleman's success on the ground.

Now, Coleman is dealing with a shoulder injury that would likely keep him out if the game was on Sunday, Jan. 26th. Luckily for him, the Super Bowl isn't until Feb. 2nd and he'll have extra time to get himself ready for the Chiefs.

The good news for the 49ers is that they have a formidable backfield even if Coleman is unable to go for the Super Bowl. But it doesn't seem as if San Francisco will need to worry about starting either Mostert or Breida on Feb. 2nd.
