The talk of the town in the NFL right now is whether or not offensive tackle Trent Williams will continue donning the San Francisco 49ers uniform or not. For Richard Sherman, who's also a free agent, he firmly believes Williams will stay with the team.

Interestingly, Williams himself had an intriguing response to Sherman's prediction.

Sherman made an appearance on The Cris Collinsworth Podcast earlier in the  week where he shared his thoughts on what he thinks the 49ers offensive tackle will do next.

“I’ve got San Francisco. I’ve got him staying in San Francisco for the faithful,” Richard Sherman said, as transcribed by David Bonilla of USA Today. “I think he stays in San Francisco. I think he makes you guys happy for another 5-6 years and gets his gold jacket and then decides whether he wants it in Washington or San Francisco.”

Williams, who was also on the podcast, didn't burst Sherman's bubble. He even praised Sherman for being a great teammate, noting that he would love to see him again in the 49ers locker room.

“That’s not a bad take, fellas,” Trent Williams replied. “That’s not a bad take. Y’all barking up the right tree.”

However, Williams seems to be taking his time. While he would love to don the 49ers uniform once again, he named other teams that he's looking to sign with.

“I'm still holding out hope that he's going to be back in whatever locker room I'm in,” Williams said. “… I can see [the Kansas City Chiefs], going in there and helping that defensive backfield. … I'd like to see him somewhere where it's nice weather, get a good paycheck, the taxes ain't beating him down. [The Las Vegas Raiders] sounds like a good team. I think the Indianapolis Colts. The AFC, there's a lot of good places over there. As long as he doesn't end up back in Seattle. … I definitely don't want to see him twice a year, if I was in San Francisco.”

It's a matter of wait-and-see whether Williams stays or not, but 49ers sure are delighted that the team is still on his list.
