There's controversy surrounding Trey Lance, as the San Francisco 49ers QB is said to be dealing with “arm fatigue.” However, the team is denying such talks.

Recently, NFL insider Mike Silver and FOX Sports commentator Colin Cowherd reported what sources are telling them as “arm fatigue” for Lance. According to Cowherd (via Sports Illustrated), the 49ers are “rebuilding” Lance's delivery because he “gets arm fatigue.”

“It's not an easy throw. He needs days off. And they're worried about his accuracy,” Cowherd shared.

Silver corroborated the rumor and even added that the 49ers knew of the issue since last season. According to him, it is telling that the Niners didn't let Lance take over when the season was hanging on the balance.

“So the fact that they stopped using Lance at all and they didn't put him in when the season was crossed up tells me they were seeing something that was concerning,” Silver added.

Upon hearing the talks, though, a 49ers assistant coach denied it and even said he has never heard of “arm fatigue” before–suggesting that it's something that Trey Lance is not experiencing at all.

Of course the 49ers won't admit it even if it's true. Teams don't go out in public and let everyone know of their problems on players even if it's true. It won't help them at all if they seek to trade the said player.

However, that doesn't seem to be the case at all for the 49ers. Based on what players and coaches have said about Lance, the team sure looks excited about him taking over as QB1. In fact even team legend Jerry Rice shared his high hopes for Lance recently, noting that the youngster appears ready in his eyes.

“Trey Lance, I think he’s ready to go. I think he’s incredible because he has that one aspect that Jimmy doesn’t have and that’s the threat of running with the ball and stuff like that. So you know his mobility, his strong arm. … He’s a young kid but he’s very experienced and I think he’s ready to go,” Rice said.

Hopefully for the 49ers, everything is going well for Lance.
