San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is back with the team and is expected to play in the Week 14 matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Goodwin has been out of action the past few weeks due to a family matter.

But according to 49ers senior reporter Joe Fann, the former third-round attend team meetings on Monday morning and should be ready to return to the field.

Goodwin has compiled 17 receptions on 32 targets for 339 yards and four touchdowns this season. He's only played in eight games, but he's coming off a monster year where he racked up 56 receptions to go along with 962 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

His return will certainly be a welcomed sight for a San Francisco team that has struggled to find a rhythm this season due to injuries and other factors.

It all started with the early-season loss of franchise quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, and it's continued with the main 49ers' receiving core also dealing with various injuries throughout the year.

And unfortunately for Kyle Shanahan's team, the schedule down the stretch may make it difficult to find another victory.

The Niners will host Denver this weekend before playing three teams that have been on a roll as of late: the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, and Los Angeles Rams.

Perhaps Goodwin's return will give the offense the spark that it needs to go toe-to-toe with those three teams.
